Got a flat? Bring it by or call and we will get you back on the road.

Is it safe to drive on?

Losing air slowly

A slow leak from a nail is usually fine to drive to us on, gently and not far. Keep an eye on the pressure and come straight in.

Flat or nearly flat

Do not drive on it. That ruins the tire and can bend the wheel. Put the spare on if you have one, or call us before it does more damage.

Can your tire be patched?

A nail or screw in the tread can almost always be patched safely, and that is a lot cheaper than a new tire. A puncture in the sidewall, a long gash, or damage from driving on it flat is a different story. Those cannot be repaired safely and the tire has to be replaced.

We will show you exactly where the damage is and give you the honest call. Plenty of shops sell you a new tire on a flat that could have been patched. We do not.

If it can’t be saved

If the tire is done, you have options in stock right now. A good used tire in your size gets you rolling for a little, or we can put on a new one if you would rather. Either way you leave on a safe tire, not a doughnut spare.

While it is up, we will check the alignment and rotation so the rest of your tread wears even.

FAQ

Questions, answered straight

Can my tire be patched, or does it need replacing?

A nail or screw in the tread can usually be patched safely. A puncture in the sidewall, a gash, or damage from driving on it flat means the tire needs replacing. We will show you where the damage is and give you the honest call, not push a new tire when a patch will do.

Is it safe to drive on a flat tire?

No. Driving on a flat ruins the tire and can damage the wheel. If you have a spare, put it on. If not, drive as little as possible or call us before it does more harm. We are at (208) 286-9245.

Can you get me in today?

Often, yes, especially for tires, flats, batteries, and oil changes. We are a busy shop, so call ahead at (208) 286-9245 and we will tell you honestly what the day looks like.

Bring it by the corner.

Tell us the vehicle and we will give you a straight number. No pressure, no upsell.
