Wheel alignment in Star, ID
Fix the pulling and the uneven tire wear, and protect the tread you paid for. Free estimates, fair prices.
Signs you need an alignment
An alignment sets your wheels back to the angles the carmaker specs, so the car tracks straight and the tires wear even. You usually notice it's off in one of a few ways: the car drifts or pulls to one side on a flat road, the steering wheel sits crooked when you're going straight, or the tread is wearing faster on one edge of a tire than the other.
Hitting a hard pothole or a curb on a Star back road is enough to knock it out. So is normal wear over time. If you feel any of it, it's worth a quick check before it eats a set of tires.
Why alignment protects your tires
Alignment and tires go together. A car that's out of alignment will chew through tread on one edge no matter how good the tires are, and that's an expensive way to find out. Getting it straight is the cheapest way to make a new set of tires last as long as it should.
It works best paired with regular tire rotation. Rotation moves the wear around, alignment stops the uneven wear in the first place. A lot of folks have us check the alignment whenever they're in for tire work.
What an alignment fixes, and what it won't
We put the car on the rack, measure the angles, and set them back to spec. Front-end and full four-wheel alignments both, depending on what your car needs. If your pull is actually a tire or a brake problem and not alignment, we'll tell you that instead of selling you an alignment that won't fix it. That's the same straight answer we give on any repair in the shop.
Estimates are free. Got questions on cost or whether new tires need one? Our FAQ covers it, or book an alignment and we'll take a look.

Questions, answered straight
How do I know if I need an alignment?
If the car pulls to one side, the steering wheel sits crooked when you are going straight, or the tread is wearing faster on one edge of the tire, the alignment is off. Left alone it wears your tires out early. A quick check tells us for sure.
How often should you rotate your tires?
Every 5,000 to 7,500 miles for most cars, which lines up with your oil change. Rotating that often keeps the tread wearing evenly so the tires last longer and the ride stays smooth.
Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk-ins are welcome for tires and most repairs. If it is a large job or you need a specific tire size pulled, call ahead at (208) 286-9245 and we will have it ready.
Bring it by the corner.
Bring it in and we will tell you what it needs and what it does not, with the price up front.
